LOVIK is indicated in adults for the treatment of the following infections:
Acute bacterial sinusitis
Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis
Community-acquired pneumonia (as a second-line treatment)
For the infections mentioned above, LOVIK should only be used when the antibiotics recommended as first-line treatments for these infections are considered inappropriate.
Chronic bacterial prostatitis
Anthrax: post-exposure prophylaxis and curative treatment
LOVIK can also be used as a follow-up (step-down) therapy after initial intravenous treatment with levofloxacin in patients who have shown improvement.
