Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM): VILDAMET is indicated for adjuvant treatment with diet and physical activity in patients in whom monotherapy with metformin hydrochloride or vildagliptin has failed to achieve sufficient blood sugar control, or in patients already on treatment with a free combination of metformin hydrochloride and vildagliptin. VILDAMET is indicated in combination with a sulfonylurea (i.e. triplicate) for adjuvant therapy with diet and physical activity in patients in whom treatment with metformin and a sulfonylurea does not allow alone to achieve sufficient blood sugar control.
