Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and one or more risk factors, such as congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, age >= 75 years, diabetes, history of stroke or transient ischemic attack. Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism, and prevention of recurrence in the form of DVT and PE in adults.
